Imagine having a lot of important data stored on your computer. It's essential to have all this data backed up because you can never know when a hard disk malfunction occurs or when a dangerous virus deletes all your personal data. Unfortunately, Windows doesn't include a feature for backing up data, so the only thing left to do is to use 3rd party applications, specialized in data backup and synchronization. One such application is PureSync.

You can guess what the program is about just by looking at its name. It's a simple Windows application designed to synchronize any two folders stored on the hard disk or on a FTP server. But that's not all it can do, as it can also copy all your photos from the digital camera and can also back up information on a regular basis, so you can make sure that your data is safe at any moment.

As it's a Windows application, PureSync is very simple to install, allowing the user to complete this action using only a few clicks. After installing and running the program, the user will see a graphical interface which includes several step by step wizards for completing tasks. Speaking about tasks, one can synchronize any two folders, no matter if they are stored on the hard disk or on a FTP server. PureSync allows configuring an automatic sync task, using various options. For example, it can synchronize two folders at system startup or shut down.

Besides synchronizing files and folders, PureSync can also back up data on any location on the hard disk or FTP server. For saving time, the program automatically detects the files that have been changed since the last backup and only deals with them, leaving the rest intact.

PureSync can also transfer files and folders from a computer to another, using the network, which is useful for migrating to a new computer, without needing to reinstall Windows and all the applications.

Pros

It allows synchronizing and backing up data stored on the hard disk or on a FTP server, either manually or automatically, using various settings. Besides that, it can copy all the photos from a digital camera automatically, when connecting it. Furthermore, it allows the user to migrate to a new computer by copying all the files and folders from one to another.

Cons

The interface doesn't seem so intuitive and may require some time to get used to it. PureSync is the perfect solution for all your synchronization needs, allowing you to back up all your personal and private data on a regular basis.
